I picked up this inspirational quote on the Old Vic website, which advertises an interesting Christmas event coming up about ‘The Science of Generosity’. 

There is such a timeless and fundamental truth at the heart of Anne Frank’s words – it’s good to see the spirit of it being perpetuated in so many different forms.

Let us remember, especially at this time of year, that giving does not always need to be material, it does not have to be expensive or extravagant.

We can give our time, our attention, our understanding, our patience, our support, our love.

Here are some thoughts for reflection:

• What inspires you to give?
• Do you give without the expectation of receving?
• What can you give someone today?
